OneLNG, an innovator in the micro-scale LNG sector, is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrés Pontón as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OneLNG Colombia. With a robust background spanning over two decades in both private and public sectors of the Oil & Gas industry, Mr. Pontón brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.
An industrial engineer by profession, Andrés Pontón is deeply committed to facilitating a structured global energy transition. He holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes and a Master's Degree in Renewable Energy from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Throughout his career, Mr. Pontón has held senior leadership positions in renowned companies such as BP, Equion, VIDAGAS, and most recently, served as Gas Manager at Ecopetrol.
In addition to his executive roles, Andrés Pontón has also contributed significantly to the governance of various gas companies in Colombia, including Gasoriente, Alcanos, Metrogas, Gasnova, Montagas, and Unigas, among others. His extensive experience across the spectrum of the energy industry positions him uniquely to lead OneLNG's operations in Colombia and other Latin America's markets, and drive strategic growth initiatives.
